Snowy days bring those crisp temperatures that cause your breath to rise in small puffs, yet they also carry with them a certain beauty that cannot be found in the rays of summer's sunshine. A sort of simplicity. The white powder falling outside the window seems to be an invitation to grab a good book and go on an adventure, even though the weather outside keeps you confined to the house. Or maybe it's the perfect time to pour a steaming cup of coffee and get to work on all of those projects that have been piling up as your schedule has had you running from one thing to another. The frigid temperatures and cutting winds suggest that perhaps a sweater and scarf would be the most comfortable clothing option. And although the kids may be getting a bit restless for lack of outdoor activity, they content themselves with a board game, an intricate lego creation, or an art project.
I love the simple beauty of snowy days.
